New Thinking About Cystitis

One of the saddest things people report to us is that their doctor has 'given up on them'.

Whilst we understand how upsetting it must be for the person that happens to, we also understand how frustrating it must be for the physician to get a patient who doesn't get better, despite their best efforts.

That said, it shows a lack of originality in the thinking. When the allopathic approach does not work, there are two options.

1. Give up.

2. Try a different approach.

Many types of bacteria such as MRSA and the Streptococcus variations respond better to 'natural antibiotics' like grapefruit seed extract, and super-strength wild oregano oil, than they do to drugs that the bacteria may have developed a resistance to. No drug company is going to recommend these, but they are aware of the anti-microbial properties of these natural treatments, and a lot of antibiotic research is based on trying to mimic what natural antimicrobials already do effectively. So if you can 'think outside the box', there is a way forward and options have not run out.

E.coli, Klebsiella, Salmonella, and other gram negative bacteria with fimbrial capabilities, are prevented from attaching to mucous and epithelial cells by mannose. Waterfall D-Mannose has been particularly effective for many people, getting rid of UTI's and cystitis symptoms easily, in many cases, when antibiotics have repeatedly failed.

It has also shown itself to be an effective anti-inflammatory, reducing pain and symptoms, often dramatically, in patients who have been diagnosed with painful bladder syndrome, and interstitial cystitis. Men also report that mannose is getting rid of their antibiotic resistant bacterial prostatitis. Mannose activates macrophages, whose function it is to clean up cellular debris that causes inflammation. The presence of mannose stimulates fibroblasts to enhance the production of collagen and proteoglycans, which speeds healing, reduces reported pain levels, and helps to reduce the extent of scar tissue. Mannose also has been reported to have a normalising effect on the immune system, reducing the enzyme production that causes T cells to flow into damaged areas, thus acting as a natural anti-inflammatory agent.

On the Sweet Cures website there are many personal stories of individuals who have taken control of their own bladder health and successfully defeated problems that conventional medicine had failed to resolve.

So there is a way forward. And no serious medical professional can afford to ignore alternative routes when allopathic medicine fails.
